Laser exposure is not interchangeable with a coating supplier’s published cure schedule. Suitability depends on chemistry, wavelength, absorbed energy and the permitted thermal history. Qualification remains specific to the selected coating and part.
Define acceptance before testing
Agree on the applicable cure, adhesion, appearance and durability evaluations with your quality team and coating supplier. Record test conditions, sample preparation and inspection results so promising trials can be reproduced.
