Understand the interfaces
Review coating application, handling, part location, line access and downstream operations. A process concept must account for the entire production sequence.
Plan the system boundary
Specify responsibilities for the laser source, motion, enclosure, extraction, utilities and controls. Have qualified personnel evaluate the safety design for the actual installation.
Agree on acceptance
Define what factory and site acceptance will demonstrate, who approves the results and what records accompany the handoff.
