Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about feasibility, trials, integration and project information.

Is laser drying suitable for every coating?

No. Suitability depends on coating chemistry, optical absorption, substrate, geometry and required cure conditions. Material-specific trials and customer acceptance are necessary.

Can you guarantee compliance with a military specification?

Compliance depends on the applicable specification, the complete process and documented qualification. This website does not claim a qualified process or certification.

Can we submit controlled project documents?

Do not submit classified information, CUI or export-controlled technical data through this website or general inquiry channel. Start with a non-sensitive overview so an appropriate sharing method can be discussed.

Does laser drying replace coating cure?

Not automatically. Drying and chemical curing can be separate processes. The coating supplier’s requirements and test evidence determine the acceptable route.

Can an existing production line be evaluated?

A retrofit assessment can review layout, handling, utilities, controls and safety constraints. Feasibility and scope are established for the individual installation.

What information is useful for a first discussion?

Share a non-sensitive coating family, substrate type, approximate part envelope, production stage and the problem you are trying to solve. Detailed data can follow through an agreed channel.
